Holston Hills Invitational Results

Donald Ross     Located just east of Knoxville near the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, Holston Hills is as well a preserved Donald Ross course as can be found.  Built in 1927, Holston Hills immediately was recognized as the finest course in the state and started hosting every important regional tournament including a PGA Tour Event.

From his wide landing areas to his carefully constructed putting surfaces that required stellar shot placement, Ross created a masterpiece at Holston Hills.

Hole 7    The Championship layout measures 7082 yards and plays to a par 72 with a slope rating of 129.  It features over one hundred bunkers scattered across the 150 acre property.  There are little to no homes or other visual distractions taking away from the links like course.  The course is situated on old farm land tucked into a bend in the
Holston River.  The course is arrayed in a broad, fan-shaped formation, with both nines returning to the clubhouse that sits on an upslope along the north side of the property.
